Grand Theft Auto VI may be about to make Vice City Rockstar’s most adult open world yet. A briefly published PEGI 18 listing has reportedly outlined unusually specific details about violence, drug use and nightclub interactions, giving fans a clearer picture of how far GTA 6 could push player freedom when its mature systems meet the series’ trademark satire.

The important caveat is that the detailed PEGI page has since disappeared. That means the most granular mechanics should be treated as reported information, not as a fresh Rockstar announcement. Even so, the listing was detailed enough to become the day’s most combustible GTA 6 story, because it appears to describe systems that are more interactive than a simple content warning.
A rating that reads like a mechanics preview
According to coverage from Indy100 and Digital Trends, the removed description reportedly gave GTA 6 an 18 rating for strong graphic violence, strong sexual themes and illegal drug use. The violence section allegedly went beyond generic references to blood and gore, mentioning realistic damage, detailed decapitation and dismemberment linked to certain weapons.
That language matters because it suggests the rating board was responding to what players can actually do, not merely to cinematic scenes. If accurate, weapon choice could influence the kind of damage seen in the world, adding another layer to Rockstar’s long-running interest in making chaos feel systemic rather than scripted.
Reported PEGI descriptors: realistic graphic violence, prominent drug use, sexual content and interactive nightclub encounters.
The drug-use details are even more revealing. The reported listing allegedly says illegal substances can be carried in the player’s inventory and used directly, with cocaine singled out as something the player may be able to consume from their hand at any time. That would turn drugs from background props into an immediately accessible gameplay option, potentially affecting missions, role-play and the rhythm of exploration.
Why the nightclub detail is significant
The same report describes nudity, intercourse scenes, occasional sexual fetishes and private dances in nightclubs. It also claims players can pay for those dances and interact with performers in a more direct way. Rockstar has always used adult entertainment as part of GTA’s social satire, but an interactive presentation could make Vice City’s nightlife feel more like a usable system than a set piece.
That does not automatically mean every rumored feature will be central to the story. Ratings documents compress complex scenes into blunt descriptors, and they do not explain context, frequency or whether a mechanic is optional. A nightclub interaction might exist for atmosphere, a mission, a side activity or all three. The same caution applies to the alleged inventory behavior: a rating can describe an action without showing how often it appears or what consequences it has.
Still, the report fits the direction suggested by other recent GTA 6 coverage. Official and regional classifications have already pointed to blood, intense violence, nudity, strong sexual content and drug use. New promotional material has also emphasized a dense modern Vice City where Jason and Lucia move through everyday spaces, nightlife and criminal pressure rather than a sanitized theme-park version of Miami.
The bigger story, then, is not that GTA 6 contains mature content. That has been expected for years. The intriguing possibility is that Rockstar is tying that content more closely to the game’s systems, letting players carry questionable choices through the open world instead of encountering them only in isolated scripted moments.
Until PEGI, Rockstar or another ratings board publishes the details again, readers should keep the most explicit claims in the rumor column. But the listing’s brief appearance has already created a useful question for GTA 6: will Vice City merely look more alive than Los Santos, or will its adult themes actually change how players move, fight, socialize and survive?
